Describing identity content: What is it good for? - Social Identity and Groups Network (SIGN) - University of Queensland

Across two studies, this project showed that when people describe the content of their shared identity, they are able to include information not captured by psychometric scales. Describing identity content also appeared to be particularly important for communicating the meaning of one's group to others, rather than providing any individual benefit.
