The influence of political leadership in asymmetries in empathy between political opponents

Previous research has revealed sharper reductions in empathy by liberal participants (for conservatives) than conservatives (for liberals). This project examines whether this asymmetry is affected by the political persuasion of the national government at the time (i.e., revisiting the study in a U.S. population under a newly-liberal leadership).
