Exploring the different understandings of religious identity and their consequences

This project aims to understand the nature and consequences of different understandings of religious identity. Individuals’ strength of commitment to religious groups might be explored through the notion of religious identification and religious identity fusion, at the same time as the different dimensions of religious identity content are studied as affecting collective choices, such as peaceful and violent collective action defending religious in-group.
