Three of SIGN’s academic members, Professors Alex and Catherine Haslam, and Associate Professor Tegan Cruwys recently wrote an article for ABC online in which they discussed the implications of findings from the ABC’s Australia Talks Survey for efforts to understand and tackle the challenges of young people’s mental health.
In the article they discuss the various mental health challenges that young Australians are facing, and provide insights into the social and economic factors that help to explain increased demand for mental health support. They also draw on their own research to provide insights for practitioners and policy makers about practical ways to address these challenges.
