SIGN develops leadership program for UK House of Commons

6 August 2020

Researchers from the University of Queensland's Social Identity and Groups Network (SIGN) have been working alongside the U.K. Parliament's House of Commons to adapt their award-winning 5R leadership program for online delivery.

Transcending the challenges of COVID-19, the 5-module program will be delivered to participants entirely online, and will involve House of Commons leaders working through the principles of identity leadership with their teams in order to support performance, inclusivity and psychological health.

Delivery of the program is underway, and will continue to be rolled out over the next three years. The program is also being subjected to rigorous scientific evaluation, in order to establish and refine its effectiveness as a means of promoting organisational effectiveness and employee well-being.
