Messages of solidarity in speeches by national leaders

This project aims to understand whether and how national leaders rhetorically build a shared sense of social identity amongst citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study will examine whether there is evidence of identity leadership in the messages and framing of leaders’ speeches (e.g., "we are in this together").
