Researcher biography
Callyn is a Research Fellow on the GROWTH program – Groups and Relationships to Optimise Wellbeing and HealTH – supported by the university’s Health Research Accelerator (HERA) funding. His research sits at the intersection of social and developmental psychology, with a focus on connectedness, participation, and the development of gender and social cognition. Drawing on extensive developmental training, Callyn’s work in GROWTH has centred on young people, exploring how to harness social connections in ways that promote health and wellbeing. He is passionate about transforming research into practical solutions that support individuals and communities to thrive.
