About Groups 4 Health Workshop

This will be delivered as a pre-conference workshop on 22 June 2022, at the 5th International Conference on Social Identity & Health at Nottingham Trent University UK.

This half-day (9am-12.30pm) workshop at Nottingham Trent University on how to deliver Groups 4 Health, an evidence-based, short-term psychological intervention developed by a team of clinical and social psychologists from the University of Queensland and The Australian National University and will be delivered by Professor Catherine Haslam, Professor Sarah Bentley and Associate Professor Tegan Cruwys.

It represents the translation to practice of a new approach to understanding health — The New Psychology of Health — that focuses on when, how and why the social groups we belong to affect our health and well-being, and stresses social connectedness as a means to improve health and general well-being.
